Fitness that goes beyond the physical.

Finger Lakes Fitness Center is evolving from a traditional gym into a space for whole-life fitness. While physical fitness is at our core, our vision is to create a welcoming space where people can learn and grow into their full potential—through movement, education, and shared experiences.

We aim to spark new meaningful connections through diverse collaborations and to foster a sense of belonging that makes this more than a place to work out. We want you to feel like it's a space for building strength in body, mind, and spirit.

PHYSICAL FITNESS

Building strength, endurance, and vitality through movement and healthy habits. We support members and encourage them to live healthy lives inside and outside the gym, offering ways to achieve personal fitness goals that enhance their everyday lives.

MENTAL FITNESS

Encouraging a mindset of growth, curiosity, and resilience. We offer opportunities to try new things and challenge yourself in a supportive environment.

EMOTIONAL FITNESS

Promoting practices that help people navigate life’s ups and downs with confidence and support. We create space and connections through which we hope to support our members in managing stress and building self-awareness.

INNER FITNESS

Making space for reflection, mindfulness, and practices that nourish the spirit. We encourage the diverse ways people find meaning, mindfulness, and inner peace.

SOCIAL FITNESS

Belonging is a fundamental and powerful part of well-being. We are building a welcoming, inclusive community where people feel seen, supported, and connected.

PURPOSE FITNESS

Exploring what drives a person and fuels their sense of purpose. Through conversations and opportunity, we inspire members to seek out personal passions and find ways to pursue meaningful work for a more fulfilling life.

History of
Finger Lakes Fitness Center

Our mission is to build on the strong foundation that has existed here since the gym first opened in 2004, while continuing to grow it into a space that supports whole-life fitness.

Finger Lakes Fitness Center was founded by Dan Stehm as a place where people could show up as they are and commit to taking care of themselves. Many of our members have been coming for years because they appreciate the quiet no-nonsense environment. That spirit and vibe is something the new owners of Finger Lakes Fitness Center value deeply and intend to carry forward. Our goal is to maintain a welcoming, inclusive gym while expanding how we think about fitness — not just as exercise, but as a lifelong practice that supports health, confidence, connection, and balance.

Whether you’re here to lift, move, learn, or reset, we want Finger Lakes Fitness Center to feel like a place that supports you at every stage of your journey.

Let’s collaborate!

We welcome workshops, classes, and creative partnerships that align with one or more of our six facets of fitness. If you have an idea that supports whole-life wellness and community connection, we’d love to explore it with you.
