DESCRIPTION:
Salsa is currently Ithaca’s hottest club dance. Learn from Felipe Rivera, who grew up with Salsa in his native Puerto Rico. Each Salsa class begins with a low key Zumba®-style warm-up. This is a beginning level class. No partner is needed! Felipe uses the Circle Dance (Rueda De Casino) idea to get everyone moving together. This is a very effective way to learn the dance, just how it is done in Cuba. Merengue and Bachata will also be introduced. Liz Welch is Felipe’s teaching partner, and she has great Latin dance styling, teaching experience with Ithaca Dance and plenty of pointers for both leaders and followers.
